Retirement Information Office (RIO) employees on what it means to work for OPM and what their job means to them
Theodore Marron:
“Being able to represent OPM on the bilingual customer service team means a great deal to me. It is gratifying to provide assistance to the Hispanic community, and I appreciate the support I receive as a non-native Spanish speaker on the bilingual team. It is gratifying to positively impact so many people daily and be part of an outstanding team.”
Johanna Brown:
“Working in Spanish Queue for me means service to my country and the Spanish Community. For 20 years I follow my husband all over the world while he served our country. Now it’s my turn to be of service.”
Ivette Lopez Cordero:
“I feel utterly blessed in having the opportunity to provide assistance to our Hispanic annuitants. Being born and raised in Puerto Rico, it fills my heart with warmth knowing I was able to help someone from my Island. Being the granddaughter of U.S military Veteran, every time I speak with an annuitant, I always strive to help them as much as I can, because I imagine it is my grandfather seeking assistance hence patience and attentiveness is the key in handling each call. Working for RIO has been the biggest blessing in my life, Thank You!”
Brenda Glasgow:
“I am proud to serve the retirees and I hope one day become one of them.”
Erick Francisco Melchor:
“Sueña Grande, Trabaja Duro, Permanece Humilde. LOVE RIO”
Translation: “Dream big, work hard, stay humble. Love RIO.”
